the game no longer plays for me on my laptop, it does on my phone. It looks like I can play at King.com but will have to start over. Not good

"An error has occured" message
I get "An error has occurred" messages upon loading and finishing a level. This started when new ( and ugly ) game layout happened. It was fine before.

Frequent "error has occured" message
An error has occured. We are doing our best to fix it, please try in a moment. I am getting this error message almost every time upon loading the game. This message sometimes happens upon completion of a level. Been playing for many years without problems until a month ago when I started getting the message.

Restarting at level 1
When I play these 2 games on Facebook, both games restart at level 1. I have to reload the page to bring up the true level I am on. How do I get the correct level the first time without reloading? I'm on a metered connection. Thanks.

Lost progress
I opened the candy crush app today, completed a level and then the app froze and chucked me out, when I went back in to the app it completely took me back to the beginning. Not receiving +5 lives in new star ranking feature on Candy Crush Saga Windows 10 game
I've ranked up to number 6 with the new feature, once I got a message that I received +5 and a green frame around my picture. I thought that meant lives but none were added. Could you explain what the +5 was and help correct the problem if it should have been lives added? I play on PC and mobile
