Have lost daily challenge available every 12 hours

Since last week I no longer have access to the daily challenge that becomes available every 12 hours in Candy Crush Saga. This is the one where you select between 2 quests and when the quest is passed you are awarded 1 hammer, 1 wrap and 1 color bomb. I am playing on an iPad; I am on iOS 12.4; I believe I have the most current version of candy crush saga; I have tried logging out and back in with no change; I have turned off and on the device, no change. Any assistance you can give that will allow me to get this challenge back will be greatly appreciated. Thank you

I can confirm that the daily quest feature has been removed at least for now. I do not know if daily quests are coming back but I'm sure something just as sweet is on its way!

No it definitely was not from the daily calendar because they never give lollipops on the calendar. And on the spinning wheel I only get color bombs and coconut wheels. I will try to do a print screen if I get it again.

Thanks, @jellyjenny for confirming that the Daily Quest is gone. Sometimes when there is a change there is no way of knowing if it a purposeful change initiated by King or if the player's game has gone a little wonky. I did like the Daily quest. I could play it twice a day and was guaranteed to get a lollypop each time, which as you know, is an indispensable booster for getting past the harder levels. I appreciate your followup.

Hi @Elsa, that sounds like something new to me too. I just tried to play another level in my game and didn’t have it. Oh well. I appreciate you posting because I probably wouldn’t have looked today. Hi @HellsBelle, my space race is gone but I got Didi today and something new. A box popped up to say that I have one hour to use lollipops free. I think it popped when I opened a level. Not sure if it's for any levels or that one. Doesn't help me much though because I was doing Didi and I have to wait an hour until I can play him again and my free lollipop time will be up.

Stickers disappeared, Build-a-Bot was empty again.

@bearwithme I lost my stickers this week too. The reward was only once a week thing but it did help. I am not so far along but I can only imagine that the UFO becomes even more necessary as the game gets closer to 5k. I’m sorry. Good luck. I will sadly be parking my ride for awhile. 🤗🦇

@HellsBelle - I do feel your pain. I hope Dexter comes back. At least I got Didi back today, but I now have also lost the stickers, which was another opportunity to get a UFO.

Ok. I already said what I had to say in the rest of my post, which also asked about the space race and the daily calendar giving timed treats, but I am guessing no matter what I say the end result will be the same. Maybe if I had the 3/5 events going like @Foley1362, I wouldn’t care. But I don’t have anything so I am done playing for now.

@HellsBelle - thanks for the tag. I have to say my rewards board always seems to fluctuate between 3 of the 5 ongoing events it seems like. Never have all of them at the same time.

I’m getting a mix of timed and regular awards for my daily treat calendar for about two weeks now but at least the timed rewards are a s hammer, a switch, a make a stripe and an UFO. Unfortunately they aren’t for very long - 20 minutes and depending where u are in the game - they can be useless.

That’s something I never seen before on daily boosters wheel @HellsBelle it has to be a testing, I do still have space. So we’ll see what @Jelly Jenny has to say about this new feature tomorrow.

Honestly I am about to stop playing as well until they can sort this all out.

The worst part is that I play CCFriends even more faithfully and joyfully than CCS and I can just see all these same changes chugging down the tracks towards that game too. It is much more simple in terms of features yet King is still asking how to “improve” the daily challenges. Not only is this a feature no one has complained about, to my knowledge, it is also one of the only ways to get free boosters in CCFriends. Even more so than Saga actually, since the game has no team challenges or races or other features. Oh I can only imagine what is coming...some iteration of one of those and poof! The daily challenges are gone or changed in such a way that the game is fundamentally different than it was before.

I think that that is what bothers me so much. It isn’t necessarily that something “free” is lost. It is that you lose something FUNDAMENTAL to the game. CCS got so difficult that you need boosters to play. In order to keep players here for free and for fun, the boosters are a part of the game. Unless the developers are going to go back and change the levels to account for the fact that the average player does NOT have boosters at their disposal, then the average player can’t play the game. And unfortunately I am very average. 🦇

I hear you and can totally empathize with every single word that you wrote here. I also play CC Friends Saga. I am finding that all 4 candy crush games are difficult for me. CC Saga is the only one that I am on top. On CC Friends Saga I am so far behind everyone else.

Think of this - CC Saga has over 5000 levels right? CC Friends Saga is far from that total yet. So it has to be difficult when you created a game well over 5 years ago to come up with fresh ideas. I have also seen that in the Friends community the Kingsters have come to ask for the players opinions, but each studio runs their game different so it's not always easy to compare. But I do hear you and totally understand what you fear might happen down the road with Friends.

I’m also playing on IPad and I lost the Daily Challenges at least two months ago. One day they just stopped appearing. Probably I was in a test group and this has now been implemented for all players. Likely King realised it was a too easy and quick way to get a nice number of free boosters. 😟

@jellyjenny @Elsa Losing the daily quest challenge seems to be something new King is ‘trying’ out on users. Can you confirm? How can I opt out of being shanghaied into being part of King’s beta test groups. It seems like every month my game gets impacted by some change and it’s never a good one. Impacted users get upset, a message board gets created so users can post how unhappy they are, then a month or so later my game reverts back to the normal. This has been going on, at least for me, for over a year and has frustrated me to no end. I’ve suggested this before: King should create a beta testing group of users who have agreed to participate in trying and giving feedback on proposed changes. Those users could have their current game cloned to a beta user name and play/try the changes while at the same time keeping their current game’s levels and boosters unchanged. The beta users can be rewarded with boosters.

I depend on the daily quest challenge to win power ups. In addition to winning the daily quest I still needed to purchase boosters to beat difficult levels. Now that we don't have the option to play the daily challenge I won't spend another penny until they bring it back. Also, the new fantastic five is USELESS. The other members in my group haven't scored 1 point. I play everyday and it's not fair.

@bubbabomber. Do you play the sugar drop challenge each day? You collect 180 sugar drops by passing levels with a candy jar. By the time you collect the 180 sugar drops you have earned 13 boosters. You can play it every 8 hours. So in one day you can earn 26 boosters. If you like I can give you the 8 or 9 levels I play to get the 180 sugar drops fairly quickly.

Even I lost the daily challenge, I used to love it as they gave lollipop hammers which are very essential in most of the levels. Please bring them back.

Hi guys, which daily challenge are you all referring to? Is it the calendar reward or the daily spin reward? Where are you playing the game - computer or mobile? Are you playing through Facebook or king.com? If you are playing through king.com the studio is aware that there are a few glitches and the spinning wheel is one of them. The problem being is that king.com was created using Adobe Flash. Adobe is doing away with it next year so the studio decided to take the game to HTML5 coding over a year ago. It takes a while to fix any flash problems but I can say that the studio is really and truly trying to resolve the glitches on king.com.

If you are playing the game on mobile device or through Facebook and that is why you are having these problems then I am going to ask all of you to please try some troubleshooting first to see if that corrects it. Below are some links so click on the link that applies to your game please. Make sure that you clear out the history daily and on mobile make sure that you have the most recent version of the game.

Hi again @Elsa. This is the same problem that I spoke with you about last weekend. Here is a link where @PummyRaj posted a picture of the challenge. I have done the troubleshooting. I am not willing to reinstall the game for a second time yet, especially as it may seem that this is an intentional design? If you could please confirm that the daily challenges are no longer available for some players, just as the space race apparently is no longer available for some players, it would be much appreciated. I would be greatly disappointed but at least I would know it was not something wrong with my game. Prior to finding this forum, I thought that losing Morts helmet was a glitch and reinstalled my game and lost all of my boosters. I wish I had known then what I know now.

Additionally, I lost the space race and am now getting timed boosters in the daily treat calendar.

This one made me chuckle this morning...I was not even close to a level where I could use it. Thanks Candy Crush! 🦇🦇🦇

@HellsBelle are you referring to the Space Race? I had it on Thursday and when I cleared the level after collecting the color bombs it was gone! It hasn't come back yet and has been elevated. Also players who are in my Facebook group said that it also disappeared for them too. We have to wait until tomorrow to see what happens but tomorrow should be Didi.

@HellsBelle I have no clue what is going on in the game in the last week or so. I know that @PummyRaj reported the Space Dash and I confirmed with her that I also lost mine. In the link above that you posted, she posted quests and the spinning wheel so are you missing all of them? I am going to tag @Jelly Jenny also here and maybe she can find out what's going on with all of these disappearing. She should be in the office tomorrow.

I have lost the Space Race, Daily Quest Challenges, my Candy pet always disappears after a feeding if it shows up at all. I don’t have build-a-bot. Literally there is no gold cup and the only free booster I am getting right now is the wheel. The Daily Treat calendar somehow turned timed for me! As you can see above, it isn’t a glitch. I’m not sure what else to say.

I know that the studio is running some tests right now but not sure on what or who is getting them. I'll tell you what I am doing right now - NOTHING! I hardly even play any of the games anymore because either the rewards are not as plentiful or the levels are too difficult. Not sure that King will be happy to see what a Superstar has to say about playing the games. That doesn't make any of the players here any happier to know that I am also having these problems but I am just biding my time until things get fixed. And I am gaining new friends like you who I can communicate with. So I have to find a plus in all of this.
