If you are new to the game then here is your chance to learn more about them! Before we discuss the Saga game modes I would like to offer you a link to learn more about the candy frog for Candy Crush Saga : Teaching a bold frog new tricks!

Now let's discuss the Game Modes:

Move Levels

Jelly Levels

Ingredient Levels

Candy Order Levels

Mixed Levels

Rainbow Rapids Levels

Move Levels are the easiest levels to clear, but sometimes very rare. To win these levels, you have to get a certain number of points using a set number of moves. You have to use up all the moves, so even once you have reached the target goal you will still have to play until all moves are used. You must reach the end with zero moves left to pass. If you reach the target score but don't reach the end due to a candy bomb exploding it will be considered a failed level.

Jelly Levels (Clear all jelly)  levels, are the most common level type. To complete these levels, must remove all the jelly on the board. On many of these levels it can be harder than it appears. The jelly is translucent in appearance and can only be broken if a candy on the square with jelly is removed.

Double jellies are white and take two hits to be destroyed. There are more double jellies in the game than single jellies. At the higher levels, the regular jellies rarely appear. Jelly fish are helpful for this type of game mode.

The biggest issue when dealing jelly levels is that you have to destroy the candy on top of the square. That is one of the most difficult tasks in the game. At times, it is hard to find a regular candy match in the corners, especially on the bottom. A great feature about them is that they can reach jellies behind blockers (except for liquorice swirls and liquorice locks). If you can combine a jelly fish with a colour bomb, the jelly fish of that colour will spawn to all the candies of the same colour turning them into fish. It can be as high as 10 or more fish targeting blockers or clearing jelly.

Ingredient Levels are a bit more common than the move levels. They are usually easier than the jelly levels and sometimes easier than the candy order levels. To win an ingredients level, you must collect all the required ingredients by bringing them down to the bottom of the board (or anywhere where there is a green arrow). There are two types of ingredients, cherries and hazelnuts. You will find some levels only requiring cherries or hazelnuts and others require both.

The ingredients fall like normal candies. They come in through the top of the board, usually after another ingredient has been cleared. Some levels start with the ingredients already on the board, and sometimes the ingredients come out of a dispenser.

Candy Order Levels, also known as Objective Levels, are the third most common game mode. To pass candy order levels, you have to collect a certain amount of candies, candy combinations or blockers within a certain number of moves. They are considered easier than jelly levels but might be harder than ingredients levels. At the higher levels, special candy mixes become more common. Mixing 2 special candies, such as a striped candy and a wrapped candy, can be a difficult task. Not only do you have to create the special candies, but they also have to be positioned adjacent to each other first. Therefore, this is a very luck based objective.

With the order levels, sometimes you might get this error message.

You might see this error message when you are required to collect a certain number of orders. For example, if there is a magic mixer in the level that can spawn more of that order by destroying it before collecting the required number the message will pop up and the level will fail. You can read more about this error message here

Mixed Levels (or Mixed Mode levels as referred to on mobile) are the second most common game mode and most difficult levels. These levels have two or more different objectives. You will only see these at higher levels. At the moment there are three types of mixed levels: clear all the jelly and collect all the ingredients; clear all the jelly and collect all the orders; and collect all ingredients and collect all orders.

Rainbow Rapids levels are the rarest game modes which was just released not too long ago. You need to collect rainbow candies to complete these levels. In order to do this, you must lead the rainbow rapids from the rainbow cannons to the mold. To do this you will be clearing the rainbow streams which will make the rainbow rapids go to the mold so that the rainbow candy can be collected.

The difficulty of this game mode will depend on how easy it is to clear the blocks on the path. Some blockers, such as licorice swirls and waffles, can land on the rainbow stream to block it and push it back. Other blockers, such as chocolate and dark chocolate can grow over the path to block it. Conveyor belts cannot move rainbow rapids, but they can bring blockers to the path of the rainbow rapids to block the flow.
