I think that's the default fix. In general, you should not pick up too many boosters. Technical errors can cause them to disappear time and time again. Even if the device breaks, they are lost. At least, the boosters you get for free.

This is the same with lives: if your mailbox is filled with gifts from others, it is a better idea to use them quickly, because they might all disappear after a while, just like boosters.
