This afternoon, CC has switched to portrait mode on my iPad. No other app is doing this.
I’ve tried locking the screen to no avail.
Anyone any ideas as to how to fix this?

This test ended in December 2021.
There is a similar test running in February 2022. You can find a new thread about this here:
There is a play test in the game on mobile devices where the game is only available in portrait mode.
Therefore landscape mode is not available for some players at the moment.
The play test started this week and will approximately be live for a month.
We hope that you can enjoy crushing the candies in portrait mode during this time!

Why have you taken away the ability to play candy crush on an iPad in landscape?
this directly 8mpacts on the accessibility of the game as it is more difficult to hold and play for some players, including me.
please fix this. If it isn’t fixed some of us will be forced to stopped playing.
when is the landscape mode coming back? If it’s staying in portrait mode for iPads, I will be deleting after many years and level 5212 😂

I don’t want to play this game anymore as you have changed the view!!!!! WHY???? i]I play on my iPad and I want the landscape view as that is how the screen tilts. Also what is with the chocolate box that has not been fixed since September????? This is not an enjoyable game experience.
I have happily played Candy Crush in landscape mode on my iPad for many many years, I reached 2929 and would have continued had King not changed the settings. Unfortunately, I found playing in portrait mode doesn’t suit me so I have found other games that suit me better and I have logged out of CC. There is life after CC!

Well (after adjusting your settings), if you still find the game in the incorrect (vertical) orientation; you will know that the problem does not lie within your device, but within the game.
In that case, you would probably have to wait until a future game update for the fix...
Changed mid morning yesterday, fine before went to make a coffee and then ….. portrait mode ahhhhhh 😫
So very annoying if I wanted to play in portrait mode I would turn iPad! Now no choice at all as won’t alter. Unsure if will continue playing as very irksome to alter set up each time want to play for a few minutes.
Why has the orientation been changed? This is outrageous. I use a Samsung tablet and on android so nothing to do with an Ipad/iPhone. I have it locked on landscape and it changes as the game starts. U have ruined this game. Change it back now please. I am extremely upset.

You will lose many players because of this issue. Please return the game to how it was so I can play in landscape mode again. I will check back in a week and not play till then.
Why has the orientation been fixed in Saga? 8,000 levels in on an iPad, now an unnecessary change?
have you been bought by Microsoft? They are usually that sort of prescriptive

Playing in Portrait on my iPad is not how I want to play the game. Why change it? If I wanted portrait I would have played on my iPhone. Bring back landscape.

Dear developpers it would be real nice if someone would answer us on this issue I will not play wiith a game thar has a pieces of blocks hidden or doesn’t have a friendly user friendly interface on my IPad. So ar least can you tell us that you are working on the issue?
Yep, same for me. Only portrait mode now which is horrible. Not going to be playing Candy Crush for much longer if it does not get fixed 🤬🤬
I have decided to delete the app and find something else to play as I just can’t adapt to being forced to play in portrait, it is inconvenient and uncomfortable. Shame, I was making great progress but maybe I’ll have more free time now!

I play candy CCS on my iPad in landscape. Now can only play in portrait, I don’t like it, my iPad is set up to be used in landscape. I will stop playing this game until it is changed back to being able to play either orientation.

Is there a moderator on the forum anymore? This glitch just started today, the new levels that were just added are not syncing across my devices. All are up to date. It's also been saying occasionally about no connection, but closing out the game and restarting seems to take care of that. The real issue is the syncing…
Anyone else have an issue with the booster wheel not letting you spin? Mine says come back in xxx hours for the next spin, but the next spin never comes. I am so stuck on level 7280 and I need some booster help!!
