Where are my rewards!?

I used the climb feature and was rewarded fish and the black candies for 30 min. I used 12 gold bars exclusively to get lives to use with those benefits. However once I started game, the benefits were not there. I tried to exit and relaunch, no luck. How do I at least get my gold bars back?
