@Deryck Will you please explain the glitch you spoke of? This is the first I've heard of it. Thanks Deryck.

I tried 1167 several times and I couldn't get over 197,000. I'll try some of the higher levels on Saturday to see what I get.

@Deryck I did try 10,000 before I get in bed and this is what I got. I have the high score and it's much higher than this one.

I actually don't know what the glitch is, but I have a suspicion of what it could be now that @kiara_wael ran this contest and you guys' entries illuminated things for me. @Alienscar @Spieler_8675309 You two are sharp; what conclusion can you draw from seeing the scores/levels in this contest?

@QueenB I get it (your silence in the Issue thread). Just be honest and say: "King has no clue what the issue is." Well, good news! Direct your tech nerds and math geeks to this thread because I think someone will uncover something!

@Superpepe I'm not able to see what my score is until the levels are won or lost now. Not a fan of this change.

On 11000 I get sugar stars after 1 move.

I thought the huge difference in scores was due to all colors dropping at the end.

@Deryck look at the difference in my scores on 8328! I got the high score before other colors dropped at end.

While looking at the scores I see number 5 who's in my friends list and they're on level 8855 and their yellow banner is 7000? I noticed they've gone from 5-8 thousand in about a year. Something's not right here.

This contest just highlights the cut and paste nature of the posts made by our Moderators @Deryck

It makes no sense at all to introduce a contest of this nature when they know there is some issue with the scoring mechanism.

As you say it is interesting that the issue only seems to affect levels below 10,000, which is odd in my opinion. I struggle to see how this can be a glitch now as I would imagine the scoring mechanism is written into the coding, so for the non-scoring issue to only affect certain levels is highly suspicious.

Hi @Deryck

I noticed the same thing. For example, level 3309 has a new version 2022 where you can not remotely reach the score required by the contest. In the old version in level 3309 scores over 5 million were obtained very easily (see video on you tube). If such high scores are obtained beyond the 9000 level then I have no chance to compete (I'm at the level 4699)😔
