Please report this problem to their Player Support team here and then ask and send your Game ID (How to find your Game ID), then waiting for their team will contact and answer you soon.

Hi the same thing happened to me yesterday. Opened my game and instead of 137 gold bars I have only 3. Sent a request to the technical team and they only replied with loss of lives and boosters. They did not address my enquiry! Hope they are able to help you.
Unfortunately, I did not have the perseverance back then after repeatedly getting the standard chatbot reply. Thinking that no one is reading my complaint, I just gave up.
Apparently, from what I have read so far, they will response to you if you press on.
This is a system glitch that has not been fixed after so many occurrences over the years.
So, don't give up. Press on and you stand a good chance to recover your lost gold bars.
