Thank you for mentioning that you are playing on MacBook.
You are not able to play the game because the Sonoma Software on your MacBook is causing the crash of Candy Crush Saga! For some reason, it is affecting only Candy Crush Saga but not other games.
The King team knows about this issue and are working on it! But unfortunately, it is taking longer than expected!! So, until the time being, players are advised to use Chrome to play the game. We have few more complaints about the same issue and they all are using Chrome without any issues👍️

Are you playing the game on MacBook? If so, the Sonoma Software is causing the issue to play Candy Crush Saga on your device.
Please continue playing the game on your mobile devices. On your computer, please use Chrome as it is working for other players.

Thanks for your help but I still cannot sync. If I try and log in with facebook on iphone it says there is a connection error but I am definitelt connected. On my Mac I have a Super Colour Bomb to claim but when I try to claim it it says I have no internet even though other things like the Daily Treat Machine work as normal.
