We have received some complaints about this Grey Screen issue. All the complaints I have seen, this Grey screen glitch affects all the devices that player uses!! Hence, I am not sure how lucky your wife is going to be🤔
Please do try installing the App on Windows 10/11 and log in with Facebook itself. Then, along with game progress, Gold Bars will be transferred too. Unless you are using same laptop for Facebook Browser version and the App version, boosters won't be transferred!
Note: Some players are experiencing an error to connect with Facebook account on their Windows 10 App! If that happens to you, please don't get frustrated! But, download the game on a mobile device instead. You can log in with Facebook and continue to play (if the Grey screen does not affect it)!
About the Grey Screen issue — Please do not worry about this! Although nobody knows why this glitch occurs, it will disappear on it's own! The maximum it took for one player was a week!!
Please do not reinstall the game as it does not resolve the Grey screen issue and she will lose all the saved up boosters.

My wife plays on Facebook Games, but it is greyed out. The fix is to download the app, but she does not want to lose her progress. This would be on a windows system.
