Try checking your game and device are up to date log out and restart your device and then log back in and see if it resolves your issue
If not check you facebook settings and make sure all web and app game settings are set to enabled.
If still does not help think you will need to wait for the candy connection feature to be full yactive to be able to get your friends back in your game

The game app may lose connection to the server for a variety of reasons, in which case you will unable to lives exchange, also you may missed friends in your game. In that case you need to follow the initial troubleshooting steps and I have given the steps below.
Check app update - Log out game - Restart device - Open game and Log in.
If you encounter an error message while following the steps above, keep a screenshot of it also let us know if you get the solution by following the steps.
