I agree. I misunderstood the feature. I thought I was sharing my boosters. They were actually free!
There are two problems with the Sweet Crew imo:
-if you get matched up with other players who barely play.
-the lollipop is far less useful than the extra lives/moves
Other than that, its a very handy feature. If you are prompted to join the sweet crew, definitely select to be the person who gives out the lollipops. And once 50 levels are passed, the hour of free boosters/lives is so useful.
It is interesting that you say that about the lollipops @Michael-6 because I find the one time use lollipop the most useful. Generally on most levels that I fail to complete two more moves would not help me, but a lollipop that can remove that isolated blocker is a real benefit.
I have tried all three of the roles now and I think it is best to choose Runner as your own role as I find the lollipop and life the most useful items to receive.
The point about getting matched with players that don't/barely play is spot on though. Gone are the days I could complete fifty levels in four days.
The lives are definitely the most useful. I can see your point about the hammer, though for me I think in all the times i have had the sweet crew, the extra two moves helped out once, whereas i've yet to get any benefit from the hammer. It might depend on where you are in the game, i'm right at the end and the stupid amount of blockers and rubbish that are in the levels these days, the extra lives are really the only useful feature- as it gives you two more goes to get that lucky board!
It might depend on where you are in the game,
Undoubtedly @Michael-6, I guess a lollipop isn't going to help much with all those sour skulls.
Though I have played Candy crush for years, I am seriously considering opting out, as since the forced entry into Sweet Crew, I get lives from total strangers, and coincidentally have had an increase in spam messages and privacy issues. I prefer to only communicate with those I know. I can't get past the pop up unless I send something to my "teammates"
Each to their own, but getting sent extra lives wouldn't be top of my issues with the game!
I agree. No opt out = no more game playing from my side. After 10 years this game has lost it soul. Far to much forced interaction with random players.
I also have stopped playing because I do not like being forced to join a team or group. This is what makes the game not worth playing. I keep checking to see if this will go away but apparently not. So very disappointed
I agree. I’ll play again only if I’m not being forced to join a group. Should be my decision to compete or send anything. Played since day one but I’m done.
