This afternoon, CC has switched to portrait mode on my iPad. No other app is doing this.
I’ve tried locking the screen to no avail.
Anyone any ideas as to how to fix this?

This test ended in December 2021.
There is a similar test running in February 2022. You can find a new thread about this here:
There is a play test in the game on mobile devices where the game is only available in portrait mode.
Therefore landscape mode is not available for some players at the moment.
The play test started this week and will approximately be live for a month.
We hope that you can enjoy crushing the candies in portrait mode during this time!

Can someone tell me why I can no longer play Candy Crush Saga in landscape orientation?
Well I’ll just be collecting my daily bonuses, no more playing or purchases until the game reverts back to landscape!

Good job the banks don’t do tests in live apps! Not sure why King haven’t identified testers who could do this in Beta versions rather than release this to the live community with no notice! Very unprofessional in my view!
Disappointing that the change to portrait appears to be committed to, am sure some iPad players will continue, but certainly not all…. As I said yesterday, seems all a bit Microsoft in its approach to customers 😥
I think you’ll lose an awful lot of players!

Mine changed too! Unable to play in landscape since 25-10-21. Struggle playing in portrait mode!
Wow only playing in portrait mode on the Ipad. Not sure in what year you are living but for me unplayable at this point in time. Don't know who made that decision but at my company, he/she would be fired on the spot. Please give me my landscape back. If this will take more than a week I will be gone.

I created an account for this page for this bug/test. What a real disaster to play candy crush in portrait mode on the iPad. I will hope that this test will be aborted as soon as possible. What is the point of this test?

Hello dfghjk01 there is nothing that can be done to fix this at the moment. The mandatory portrait mode is the result of a test being run by King.
Please leave your feedback in the thread linked by Kiara, so that King might realise how unpopular this kind of test is.

A few days ago my game went into portrait mode on my iPad. I have this turned to lock on my device but the game overrides this. This is extremely annoying. Can you please fix it?
Hi @Glay55 unfortunately you are the victim of a test that is currently being run. I would suggest you leave some feedback in the thread linked by Kiara to add to all the other people that aren't happy wirh this change.

I play candy CCS on my iPad in landscape. Now can only play in portrait, I don’t like it, my iPad is set up to be used in landscape. I will stop playing this game until it is changed back to being able to play either orientation.
Can I please get a notification in 5 months when you have returned 👍
I have decided to delete the app and find something else to play as I just can’t adapt to being forced to play in portrait, it is inconvenient and uncomfortable. Shame, I was making great progress but maybe I’ll have more free time now!

I'm a noob on this site...I'm feeling like a dummy. I can't figure out how to play a game, enter a post or anything else. Some instructions on how to get started here would be lovely...I'm not finding anything helpful at the moment. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Why are the sour skulls not working as they usually do? I was just playing level 13990 and the sour skulls wouldn't activate after they've been touched by a candy nor after a wrapped candy exploded. It cost me my episode race and streak. Why is CC getting so glitchy?
Since 3-4 days ago, I am unable to log in with my facebook account. Yes, I tried everything that I could find online, all the helps and tricks, but it still doesn't work. Probably lost 10 years of progress and about 12000 levels… I am fuming… Whatever I do, I get this message…

this level opens and immediately says you lost the level with zero moves made. I believe there’s a glitch in this level. It’s been happening for two days.
How can I be in a group with someone who has only played just over 300 games and compete when I am over 11k in levels? How can their style be similar to mine? This is just a money making racquet otherwise we’d compete against people on similar levels. Someone must explain this and with LOGIC!!
