Hi Graeme- Thanks for posting on King Care. I am sorry for the delay in getting back to you. Let's try and get your game back on track!
a. Please close all apps and restart the device
b. Please check for any updates for your device and apps: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-10/check-for-updates-for-apps-and-games-from-windows-store
c. As a last resort, try re-installing the game as it usually fixes most issues. Simply make sure before reinstalling that your game progress is backed up via Facebook or the Kingdom.
Please also note that any boosters or extra lives stored in the game may also be lost during this process.
