lives, ufo rewards etc not working

When you get a chance to get extra lives (4+2, 2+1, 3 etc) and a ufo, the idea is you watch the ad and then you get the reward. Is anyone experiencing a problem where the ad doesn’t play (just a blank, black screen) and terminates prematurely. This results in not receiving the reward. Very annoying ☹️

Hello @Charleyfarley the issue of adverts producing a black screen has been going on for years and King seem unable/unwilling to resolve the issue. There is nothing you can do to prevent the issue and all you can do is close the advert and play the level again.

Extremely lucky Charley. Have you been playing for long. The issue of the adverts failing has been going on for years, so it is interesting that you haven't suffered from the issue until now.
King will never answer any question here Charley as they never come here. On top of that we can not get any up to date information about on going issues from the people that work here and for King.
Every time people complain about this issue we get told it has been fixed, but they then always ignore all the complaints that continue long after they say they have fixed it.

Ty Alienscar - as you say, the problem has been around since 2021 and I may have experienced it in the past but not to the same degree as right now.
Seems to me that there’s a rogue ‘corrupt’ video that needs to be removed in order to resolve this i.e. probably no coding changes required. Shouldn’t be beyond the wit of man to get this sorted.

I don't think the issue is as simple as just one advert needs removing to be honest @Charleyfarley. When I suffered from the issue every advert was invovled. I would say the issue also got worse every time new features were added. I also noticed that time spent playing the game seemed to influence the issue and the game would start to lag prior to an advert crashing the game. I found that closing my game every fifteen minutes or so and constantly clearing the app cache prevented the issue from occurring. That process worked until the introduction of the the Magic Shuffler, after that feature was introduced nothing I did could stop my game crashing. I have now lost all advert features.
You are right Charley it shouldn't be difficult for a software company to resolve an issue like this. I wouldn't hold my breath though as the issue has been going on since 2018.
