I was trying to post my friendship link here, but when I do this the link reads this:
I don't have a Facebook account or login. We used to be able to invite each other through tapping on our links in the game? What is going on? Does this mean we can no longer post our friendship link in this community except via Facebook?

I think the issue is just a formatting error (not sure if it is King or Vanilla at fault) because if I post the same link as a text link it looks okay, but if I post it as a Rich Link or a Card then that is when Facebook appears

Your link seemed to work normally for me in that it opened my game as normal. Obviously I received the 'already a friend' message though.
Fingers crossed they are trying to fix the usability of the friends link @christinewupp but it isn't a good start if they potentially confuse people with the mention of Facebook in the link formatting.
Thanks for that clarification. In fact when I click on my own link it also takes me straight into my game, and not surprisingly I I get the message I can't befriend myself. So hopefully if anything it might be an improvement on the old system, which would never work for me (I could never open anyone else's link).

Sometimes, the link players provide do not work! If you remember the link I have sent you a while ago had something like "param".
