Interestingly, folks whose gold box has been locked in for a while now may not realize the following:
It seems they moved the former gold prize and tasks to the Silver Box, and did who knows what to the Gold. I haven't completed the new Gold Box since my previous box recently reset, and don't relish the new tasks you've highlighted.
Something players may not know about the tasks "glitch" is I recently discovered if you change tasks, and it brings up the same task again, go to the Map, then go back to your Events tab to see the repeating task change before your eyes. Magic! (or Incompetence!, take your pick…)

I just got 31 unplayed games to complete. A total joke.
I note you have received no reply to the points you have made.
@QueenB @PummyRaj said weeks ago they were going to get "Mirrors" in the Games Studio to "look into it".

I have had a 40 gold version for more than a week, and the candy orders can range from 3300 to 4300 for me.
Haven't seen 31 new levels task yet, usually I get 27 or 28.

@MannyFae greetings! Complete 27 or 28 new levels is just as bad as complete 31. I have also seen complete 30. I wonder if some of these tasks to complete large numbers of levels could be just complete the number of levels including old levels? I have really not checked that out… I try to avoid those.
I also have gotten use 3 Party Boosters and use 4 UFO's on the 5-day 40 bars of gold Chocolate Box.

No, old levels don't work, have to be new ones.
Usually, I finish the first three tasks on the old levels before starting a new episode. It matters to me whether I need to play 29 or 31 levels, because 29 levels require me to play two episodes, while 31 levels require me to start a third one.
I most often choose levels/crowns, and almost never choose the Party Popper option. That's probably why I was offered to use just one Party Popper to fill the Chocolate Box. Rather generous.

I am not sure if it was a coincidence. After my post, the final task in my next chocolate box has no booster option. I got 27 and 23 new levels options, then it repeated 27 and 23 when I changed. No magic as suggested by @Deryck by going to the map and come back.
Usually there is a booster option of 1-3 UFOs or party poppers.
Today, for the first time I am getting a task of 4 UFOs. I sticked to the first choice. Changing it may end up with a task of more new levels.

@quekkc Yeah, I've only ever seen the "repeat tasks change" I mention during the first three rows, usually those requiring using hammers or hand switches. Those generally change to a random collect X candy color (or the also easy collect X color bombs) by reentering the Events tab.
Long ago, I encountered the repeating play X number of levels task once for the 4th row and observed same as you, King really wants us to play new levels. 🙄 Funny how this "glitch" has been around for years.
I finally reached the Gold Box and got the preferred use 3 UFO boosters. As I haven't played new levels on my main game for some time, any 'new levels' task will just see that gold box expiring.
