If I stop playing and leave it up on my screen it won't reset. If I close or go to a different screen it resets. It's always showing I have a message/progress in bake a cake even though I don't.🙄

What device?
PC - could be due to outdated graphics card or not enough memory. When too many browsers open, it eats up a lot of memory.
Mobile - could be due to low free storage or high memory usage; unstable data cellular/wi-fi; corrupted app or the infamous software glitches 😄

It's a fire tablet. I'll try logging in on another device to see what happens. Thanks for the advice.🥰

Try to do the usual:
Force close, clear cache, then restart and make sure you have the current update..
Are all your apps working properly?
It seems like the game is not saving your progress if after closing it keeps resetting.🤷
