Well this is unpleasant. With the update this morning, I am no longer receiving ANY ads. Not only Sweet Cinema. I am not receiving any ads at the beginning for extra boosters, or ads at the end for extra moves (can only spend gold there - never ads provided), or the balloon on the main map. No ads anywhere. That kind of kills this strategy for me.

I currently still have 27342 gold bars left, and I only have 180 levels to the end. I am probably still going to make a mad dash to the end anyway and waste a bunch of gold bars. Seems I am still getting chocolate box and, so far, episode race rewards, so I have that, and I am getting superchargers still. Hopefully the ads will come back soon. I should probably wait on them, but I want to finish very soon so I'm too impatient to wait. I hope to be to the end of the map by Sunday or Monday. On level 18298 right now.

  • That has happened to me before as well but they did come back the next day. Hopefully this is the same for you. Good Luck in your sprint to the finish. Have a great day 😊

Thank you, @Colleen Companion Welsh ! You were correct! I got my ads back about an hour ago. Sorry for my panic; I remember not having Sweet Cinema ads in the past, but I had never noticed losing literally all ads in the game before yesterday.

I'm at level 18373 now - less than 100 levels to go!

    Level 1

Hi, I've been playing candy crush since 2021. In January 2025 I reached 18230, and the finish line I think it was 18290. A few bad decisions and disappearance of sweet cinema led to the crash of my game (28 gold bars …). Since then, I've tried to revitalize my game using chocolate box, free UFOs and season pass. I'm still waiting for sweet cinema to return for free switches and lollipop hammers. I'm now at 18246, I have 240 gold bars and I'm still waiting for better times. I say this because even though after my game crashed, I started a new game, it's still hard for me to give up my old game. I'm now at 1611 and I have 3381 gold bars. I also collected party poppers and UFO (Lucky lantern and Alien), but I don't have sweet cinema, candy royale, super bombs, just a few ads for 2-3 extra moves, rare and those ... In my old game, I didn't take care of the gold bars, most of the time I was rushing to finish the episode race because something was happening. In the new game I decided to be more careful with my gold bars.

I recently discovered the forum and I appreciate threads -

Wow, @dia_candy , that must have been really frustrating to have gotten so close to the end and then run out of gold bars. I can certainly see how that could happen - I have actually burned through 6000 gold bars in just the past few weeks due to lack of patience wanting to get to the end along with really few ads being offered during that time. It's easy to get carried away and start overspending on the gold bars.

Welcome to the forum. Good luck with trying to revive your old game - I hope you can manage to do it!

Hello and welcome @dia_candy ! It's great you have come to join us. It's always good to hear from an experienced player new to the community. I hope you will hang around and we'll see more of you.

I do have one suggestion to make as you find yourself in a position similar to where I was when the end of the map was around level 15,000. You mention having started a second game. Is this on a different device? If you have not saved the new game you can transfer any boosters you have earned in it to your original game. If you have got another device you can start a new game on, you could try to use two devices to play the same account, which is allowed. First download the app afresh, then do NOT save the new game at all. I never saved my test games, and I have played up to level 3000 before and had as much as 3000 gold saved up before I then used all the gold I had earned to buy party poppers and other boosters and then I logged into my original account with a ton of boosters. It's the only way to stay afloat at the top of the game without using cheats. You might want to try that, it's what helped me catch back up with the end of the game when I did fall behind.

I am impressed though by your second game. That is an impressive gold balance at such a low level. It will be interesting to see if you continue to make more and more gold on that account. I found that I stagnated at about 3000 gold in my last game that went this far. I think I also had over 3000 gold from winning episode races by level 2000, but then the game became cruelly hard and I ran out of boosters and started spending more on boosters than I was making from the episode races. It will be interesting if you fare better and continue to make gold. I was wondering if King had put a cap on how much gold players can accumulate.

    Good luck with your games!

I'm almost to the (current) finish - just one episode race away at level 18456. I have 25910 gold bars left to play with here. I unfortunately hit an oops (by sillily ignoring warnings that I very much read here - very dumb of me) and ended my 800+ level win streak, and with it a very crucial supercharger. I had to buy party poppers to get to the end of the episode race, and now I figure I probably won't move forward until Wednesday, since it hardly seems worth it to try to get superchargers when I'm only doing one episode race. So I should get to end of map on Wednesday, probably, after the new levels drop, assuming they give me a supercharger then. In the meantime, I'm trying to scarf up as many boosters as possible by watching ads - hopefully I can accumulate a bunch by then.

Amazingly, it looks like the 315 levels I completed this week is going to be enough to win the weekly contest, so I do get to win one more (with just a few hours left, second place is 232 levels). I assume this will be the last weekly race I will win. A pity - I probably will just let the timed boosters from that die since it's best that I not move forward yet, and I want to continue watching ads (which would undoubtedly eventually force me to collect the winnings).

It's Wednesday, and I finally reached the end of the map!!

My gold bar count is a little lower than I would like, but that's partly because I bought some extra boosters for the sake of the rewards lounge:

And that apparently brought me to the highest level of the rewards lounge!

It appears 20 is as high as it goes.

    Some comments:

    • The episode race flag (and hence the race itself) disappeared from my game on my next to last set of 15 levels. Very disappointing. I hope it will come back someday. I was able to start the episode race, but it disappeared about halfway through when I was filling a new chocolate box.
    • Since I had 4 days to prepare for this run of 60 levels (the new 45 plus the last episode race from the previous week that I didn't run because I lost the supercharger), I saved up lots of ads, and had almost 100 free switches and lollipop hammers going in. With that, plus the supercharger eventually, I was able to finish with quite a few of those left, and I never used a single UFO or party popper in all of the 60 levels! I did use probably about 15 striped brushes - I bought two sets of those for the sake of the rewards lounge, since they seem like the cheapest way to handle things that free switches and lollipop hammers can't handle. So most of these last 60 levels were done essentially free, which is part of why it doesn't hurt quite as much to have lost the chance to win episode races. Based on these levels, it seems like it might be possible to maintain gold bar count at the end of the map by just watching ads - I'm encouraged! However, I think I should mention that this last batch of levels seemed slightly easier to me than most of the previous several hundred, so maybe this was just an easy batch.
    • I really did throw away a lot of gold bars because I wanted to get to the end quickly. I realize now just how much I could have saved by taking another month or so to get to the end, but I was impatient. Oh well. :-)
    • I have yet to try the Star Tournament at all. I'm curious how it will go; I may try to start into it later tonight; we'll see.
    • I think it would really be nice to have more information about what it is like at the end of the map, including the Star Tournament, and how to best handle it there. I am thinking I will start a new thread sometime in the next few days about it. It would be nice to have information in one place about the best way to handle being at the end of the map, and what options people have found for handling it and making the most of it.

Hey! Would you like to give us your opinion?
