This is your chill zone! Talk about anything that’s not Candy-related with other Candy players!.
I echo Carol-Martins comments above, but I will continue in NOT playing new levels and will not spend one more penny on Candy Crush or any King game for that matter. A great disservice has been done to longtime players and I believe this change will discourage new players from continuing.
I will no longer be playing this game either. I made it to level 4085 and it’s just not fun anymore. It’s sad that they didn’t listen to their players. Even though it was considered a “flaw” in their game, it was one of the reasons people kept coming back to play.
I can honestly say it did not give me any more“value” as a player. And the only “intended purpose” I see for them to do this is to make more money.
Thanks for the update @cezdiamond, If this is the way it is going to stay with build a bot, then I will not be playing nearly half as much as I used to and will definitely spend no money on this game. I will use my time to play something else that is less frustrating. There are so many problems with the way this game is run, constantly changing levels to make them harder than they were, different bonuses for different players, different prices for different players just to name a few. Definitely not a player friendly game!!!
Hello everyone! I do now have an update to share with you all regarding Build-A-Bot
You can read this update here:
As with many features we bring to our games, we try them as early as possible as we want our players to have the latest and most exciting features as fast as our creative team can craft them. In doing so, it can sometimes mean that we'll tweak a feature, to make sure it gives as much value as possible to our players, whilst also serving the intended purpose.
In testing, they detected a flaw in the design of the Build-a-Bot, which meant it delivered outside the way it was meant to work.
So that the overall design and difficulty was kept intact, our engineers worked to put things right. This fix meant that the ability to play use Build-a-Bot on earlier levels was disabled.
I am sorry that this does mean that the Build-A-Bot feature will not be brought back to be used on previous levels as this was indeed a flaw. So I will be closing this idea for the time being.
Thanks!
Hi @Carol_Martins, I haven't heard anything yet.
@Cezdiamond @Elsa good morning. Any updates?
There is one real advantage I have discovered from the booster bot change. When I go back and play levels for sugar drops and happen to lose, I don't lose anything from my bot. Just as an FYI, I can finally like other people's posts, so expect to be seeing more likes!
@suester - I hear you and feel your pain. There are times when I play the game and feel pressured to try and win each level the first time and if I don’t succeed I’m frustrated. Then I step back and say, this is just a game and I’m supposed to play it for fun. Then I tell myself I need to lighten up!
The two biggest advantages of having the bot is the additional cb and the three extra moves. If you play for sugar drops every day and play any of the other things King gives you (like the daily wheel and candy quests) that will allow you to build up your stash of boosters so if you get that extra cb, you can start with a double cb combo (as long as you can still reset without losing a life. That extra cb is extremely valuable, especially if you are facing a hard level. With the new bot, even getting the first cb can be a challenge if you are on a difficult level. I resort to a cb wrap or cb stripe combo depending the board.
The thing is, there is no way to buy the multiple boosters that one can use simultaneously with the bot. It would make more sense, if they were selling the old bot, but they aren't. So while I'm sure money did figure into the decision, I don't think it was the primary reason. But only King knows for sure.
@ludwig The reason is quite simple. King wishes to have players make more purchases to advance in the game thus garnering more money for King. If the boosters are not as easy to win then some players will buy them to pass more difficult levels to advance. Personally, I have never spent money on this game and never will. I feel your lament as do many many other players. Good luck to you.
Please don’t get me wrong, I love that this thread has become a community of people frustrated on different aspects of the game and a revelation that maybe not everyone has the same advantage (events) at the same time.
But I do need to complain. I used to love playing this game with the old version of build a bot. Like many of you said I used it as a de-stressor. Now that it’s gone, like many of you I’ve lost the joy to play. I’ve been following this thread for a very long time hoping for change. I’ve heard reassurances but no definitive answer.
i have a genuine question for @king or whomever may be listening as a community warden. Is the reason you took away the bot/helmet etc in previous levels was because members were using it as a “cheat”? What was the reason for taking it away? Developers must have done this for a reason, and if so what was it? Maybe that’s what we should be debating.
Hey guys, work on Sugar Drops. I collected 16 Gold Bars and other Boosters today just by playing it. If you are having difficulty with Build-A-Bot, don't dwell on it. The more you frustrate yourself, the more you lose. I just treat it like it doesn't exist because you can't really keep up with it whether you like it or not.
My garden went away too, but that's because I had already harvested my booster. Right now my only real event is Dexter and I'm in 1st place.
@bearwithme I was going to provide you a screen shot of the lame Snappy Garden but when I went to CC to get it I realized King even removed that incentive too. You can’t make this stuff up - absolutely no consistency and in a chaotic world I need my stress relief to be dependable 😩!
Now I remember Snappy’s Garden. I had it for awhile, but it was quite awhile ago. I usually have the beanstalk but it’s sporadic. I don’t have it right now. I think if I had a choice I’d prefer the ribbons over the beanstalk and definitely over Snappy’s garden. But the best is the old version of the build a bot. Everyone who is so frustrated when they lose the new bot could at least go back to an old level to build it back up.
I am getting really frustrated with trying to build the new bot. If I am lucky I get maybe three pieces before I get stuck on a level and have to start building again. I had a full bot one time since the change, which didn’t last very long. I used to play the web version and had no idea these “extras” even existed. I just started playing on my phone in the last few months which brought the excitement back to the game. The boredom is setting back in. The only way I progress now is going back and playing levels for sugar drops, in hopes of progressing a level or two a day. Thankfully spring is upon us and I can enjoy the great outdoors again and maybe drop a few pounds in the process!
Another day without hearing from King about bringing back the boosters for past levels. Another day that I refuse to spend a penny on this game. Come on King, actually listen to your customers and fix this disaster.
@louiseT
You are welcome, Louise! It is really a Fun Power-Up. My favorite part is getting Color Bombs for 30 minutes, followed by Striped & Wrapped Candies.
BTW, I also get Dexter.
@Smiles8
I pretty much have everything in my Gold Cup of Fun Events except Mr. Snappy's Garden. I am not complaining. I still consider myself lucky for not having any issue with Candy Crush Saga App.

Hi Everyone! I understand that a lot of you are not happy of not being able to send Lives To Friends. It should have been an easy process like it used to. In the past, you can easily "Send Lives" to whoever you want to benefit from it. Since the Levels are now extremely difficult to complete, I can understand everyone's…
The studio appears to doing some testing with timed boosters. First a large group of people lost the ability to get regular boosters from collecting sugar drops and got timed boosters instead. Now it appears that some people are getting timed boosters for the daily calendar and some said they even get some with the daily…
Collecting Sugar Drops has been an integral part of the game and a much loved feature where players had the opportunity to collect them and earn free rewards every day. It now appears the studio plans to take it away. Please vote here if you want the studio to bring back this ability.

Many Candy Crush Saga players would like to see more opportunities to win the UFO and Party boosters. How about adding them to the Daily Treat Calendar? Others have suggested adding them to the Booster Wheel. It is obvious that players want to be able to win these boosters. Please vote for this idea if you agree. @Lim,…
