Get rid of Timed Sugar Drops/Boosters

The studio appears to doing some testing with timed boosters. First a large group of people lost the ability to get regular boosters from collecting sugar drops and got timed boosters instead. Now it appears that some people are getting timed boosters for the daily calendar and some said they even get some with the daily spin. This poll is specifically aimed at voting to get rid of the timed sugar drops so the game studio can clearly see the votes and opinions of the players.

FYI - the other poll "Keep Sugar Drops" - was created when the game studio took away entirely the ability to collect sugar drops and get boosters from a group of people (who now can collect sugar drops again but in some cases they are now timed).

You know what, King? I actually realised you're doing me a great favour and I thank you heartily for that. The introduction of the timed boosters and the consequent inability to gain proper ones, especially the hand and the lollipop, really upset me at first. I complained bitterly in this community, like many users did. Now I am THANKFUL. Here's why:

I realised King does not want me to play like an addict. It doesn't want players like myself, who would play every day and at times, several times a day, going back to previous levels to gain new boosters and open new levels. It doesn't want me to actually spend more money than I should spend on a game. I doesn't want me going back to previous levels to collect more stars.

No, King doesn't want any of that. It wants players stuck, moving slowly forward, enjoying playing the same level over and over and over again until they gain passage after spending yet more money on gold bars (which is like money) to get one or two hands and lollipops.

Yesterday, I reached level 4925. I have 3 stars on all levels up to 1085. I always enjoyed playing for more stars. Now nearly all my gold bars, hands, and lollipops are gone. And I can't get them, unless I keep paying (not playing) more and more to get one or two at a time.

Suddenly I realised I no longer have to play!!!! I REALLY REALLY DON'T!!! King ensured that by not allowing us to collect regular boosters or hands or lollipops by playing the candy drop challenge every day. And I realised that was King's intention all along: to make you realise you are addicted to the game and addiction is unhealthy. I agree. It is.

Well, perhaps I'm wrong. Perhaps that's not what King think their intention is. Perhaps they think this makes the game more exciting. To be stuck and unable to move forward doesn't make it exciting for me at all, but I'm probably the exception. Probably it is thrilling for the other millions of players, so King will certainly not miss one less "addict" (maybe I'm the only one).

So, THANK YOU, King, for allowing me to get rid of you. I didn't want to give up on the game, but all of my friends already have so maybe it is indeed time to say goodbye or play every once in a while and never pay for gold bars or boosters or just come back to eventually check if King has decided to keep their top players or definitely get rid of all them.

Hate timed boosters! Especially when they force fish or check mark boosters on me. Fish that explode just what I don't want blown up or duplicate popcorn all over the board making it impossible to complete! Worst idea ever! 😠

Just get rid of timed boosters and go back to, we keep them forever. It seems so so simple. Doesn’t King see all upset people about this, or they just don’t care.

Hi Pummy! Why do I need to start a Thread on an Idea that was posted on June 15? With Boosters hard to come by these days, I wouldn't want to lose any of them. The sad thing was all these Timed Boosters came all at the same time when I didn't have the time to play. I had some pressing things that needed my attention. I had one that was good for 6 hours which gave me hope that maybe I can play some of them when I come back. Unfortunately, they all timed-out. Since not all of us can sit down for hours and play the timed Boosters, I suggested that these be converted to quantity.

@bearwithme and I were just sharing each other's opinions about this topic. Our discussions are open for opinions. We're friends here. We play together in this Community all the time. There was nothing to intervene about. It was that "one unnecessary comment" from someone else, a one sentence in a form of a question, that started the stir not us or from us.

Hope this explanation gives you a whole picture!

The title of this Idea will not be misinterpreted because it clearly says "Get Rid of Timed Sugar Drops". @bearwithme clearly stated that in the Title as well as in the explanation.

Also, this Idea is completely different from your suggestion Mercerik

It would be nice & useful if you can start another thread with your Idea of "Please Make Timed Boosters Worthwhile By Converting These To The Equivalent Amount Of Non-Stop Play"!! I am sure many players will agree with you

Thanks! It is true, the title can be misconstrued, misconceived, or misinterpreted, just like how @Tim_O'Connell took my statement. I wish he would have explained his point why he was not happy with my statement, instead of a one sentence question which is more like an insult.

Instead of the title of this post chain reading "Get rid of Timed Sugar Drops" perhaps it would be clearer if it read something like "Get rid of the Timed Boosters and/or Awards under Sugar Drops and return to Normal Sugar Drop play"

Anyway I see what he is saying, I understood what you meant, but in my experience in the software field developers are quite literal and do not always see or pick-up on nuances in text, in meetings or live, face to face.

Definitely not what you are on, thank God! Did you even read what I said or did you just glance on it? I was asking King to Convert the Sugar Drops' Timed Boosters to quantity based on Non-Stop Play from the allotted time which means if approved, you can get more Boosters that you can bank.

Now, when you ask to "Get Rid Of Timed Sugar Drops", they could get rid of the Sugar Drops all together. Was that really what you want?

Agreed, why change things that work well in the first place. Hope the comments and complaints are heard, where do I vote?

Mercer, have know idea what you just wrote. The whole thing is very simple. Do away with timed boosters and reinstate our old forever boosters. Doesn’t King see how angry they have made us players? This is going to blow up in their face. Going to lose a lot of customers.

@mercerick - those of us in the sugar drops 'testing group' just want the regular sugar drops back, We don't want to get rid of them - we just want the boosters we win to not be timed. We want our old capabilities back so that we win regular (non-timed) boosters when we complete the sugar drop challenge. We definitely are not trying to get rid of the Sugar Drop Challenge!

Collecting Sugar Drops has been an integral part of the game and a much loved feature where players had the opportunity to collect them and earn free rewards every day. It now appears the studio plans to take it away. Please vote here if you want the studio to bring back this ability.
