Hello @jkellyb And welcome to our wonderful King Community. There are some changes happening in Candy Crush Saga and the removal of Sugar Drops is one of them. You can read more about the changes here. Hopefully there will be some exciting new features to take their place that will arrive in the game in the near future including the bubblegum pop - which some people should already be seeing as a new blocker.
There is an ideas section in the community where players can post ideas and have fellow players vote on it. If you are interested there is an idea to bring back Sugar Drops and you can vote for it here.
I am no longer getting sugar drops the last 5 days or so. Are they discontinuing this feature?

level 2657. You need to break 105 tiles and drop a few characters to win in 19 moves. Now I’ve previously reached over level 10,000 and don’t remember having to buy gold to extend play time to pass levels. Looks like my CC days are numbered unlike the goes on level 2657. Shame it’s about the money now Candy Crush.
