This started happening to me too the last few days. You fix one thing, and then something breaks again. Not only does the screen darken like that, but little flashes of something goes up the game board as well. Nothing fixes it, and I lose a life. Usually closing out the game and coming back in works, but losing a life is bad.

The Studio team is investigating this error on Facebook at the moment.
Please remember that Candy Crush Soda Saga is available in the Microsoft Store and can be played on a Windows 10 computer.
If this is not a possibility for you, please check if the problem appears in more than one browser. You can try out Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox...
Can y'all please make sure that you clear the cache once more? Here is a useful video that will show you how to optimize your PC performance.
In case clearing the cache doesn't work, please write back and give us your player ID (you can find it here) and the level you're currently playing on/ the name of the episode (what you prefer).
If you're playing on Facebook Gameroom, please try to play through the normal browser (not Safari, if possible) . Facebook Gameroom is a Windows-native app and consequently I'm afraid to say that you need to contact Facebook directly for further support. 😊

I know I've asked this before and possibly other people are having the same problem, but since the 28th April, every time I try to access the game I get the same message "You have an experienced an error that we are working hard to fix. Please try again in a moment." I can't find anything among the FAQ's or discussions reporting this. Is there a problem? Thank you.

I am very sorry to hear about the issue in your game!! I am thinking it could be because of the overload on the servers and game!! Also, yesterday, most of the Candy games were not loading properly on Facebook!!
When this Orange screen appears, there is nothing you can do except to make sure that your internet connection is strong AND avoid using large number of tabs / browsers at once and keeping only one to play your game.
Did you check if other browsers open the game? If you are using Edge, did you try to use a different browser such as Chrome?
