Why can't I request lives from my friends?

Hey there and sorry to hear about this experience. I assume you're pressing the button in the Team menu under the "Chat" tab correct?
If you've recently requested life's, it will be on a pause for a while until you can request it again. However, it sounds like something unusual is happening here. It would be great to know the following details for this problem:
- What device and version of OS you play on (example: iPhone 16, iOS 17)
- What version of the game you play.
- What your Player ID is.
The usual steps we recommend are as follows:
- Restart: Force close apps and restart your device.
- Updates: Check that you have the latest game and device updates.
- Memory: Keep at least 2GB free storage for smooth gameplay.
- Connection: Use WiFi instead of cellular data.
- Clear Cache:
- 🤖 Android: Settings > Apps > Farm Heroes Saga > Storage > Clear Cache
- 🍏 iOS: Settings > Safari > Clear History and Website Data
And finally, if you have an account in the game, you should be able to get back to the level you were at least, I hope that it's the case. 🙏

I am playing on an Android ui 6.1. I am pressing the add lives from the main screen. I have tried all the recommendations and finally uninstalled the reinstalled. I lost everything except my progress.

Yes unfortunately reinstalling the game does remove the boosters, so we usually don't recommend this unless it's a critical error in the game.
Are you able to ask for lives now or does the game still freeze for you?
Also if possible I'd recommend updating your Android version which is done by following the below steps:
How to update Android on your device:- Open your device's "Settings" app.
- Scroll down and tap "System."
- Select "System update."
- Follow any on-screen instructions to update your device to the latest Android version.
