    Great discussion @Elsa

and thank you for the tag @Diamond Lim 🍭

I'll share a few things, firstly my son's school is online untill further notice. It's fine with me I understand due to the covid-19 situation, I will admit it's going to be stressful with my toddler running around and me pulling my hair out homeschooling a fifth grader😬😅. I know my kiddo is bummed that he won't be able to see his friends and teacher in person but I always tell him that this is temporary and not forever ♥️.

One memory I will share was when I was in middle school, everybody was evacuated from the school I remember seeing my teachers crying and some teachers trying to keep themselves together. I was so scared thinking maybe it was a bomb scare or a school shooting? I had no clue. So we all lined up outside and everyone looked up to the sky and saw fighter jets flying in formation, this lasted for a while watching military flying fast. I was so confused and terrified. If I can recall I believe we all had an early dismissal. I got home and found out that it was the terrorist attacks on 9.11.01 😢. (Worst day ever).

My best memorie From school was graduation in 2007!

Thanks for sharing @gr33n3y3z! I was at work when 9-11 happened. I live in New Jersey which is not far from New York and the Twin Towers. We closed down the office and we were glued to our TVs all day. It was very frightening. Personally though, I feel bad for this generation of kids that have to deal with school shootings. This world is totally falling apart. But let's try to think positive. Please read my twins school story. The last page is perfect!

Peggy, I find it so fascinating when I see pictures of all European countries. There are always mountains, statues, awesome buildings. Here where I live there is nothing close to what you guys all have there.

Hello @Elsa and thank you for dedicating that sweet story for me and @candycrushinit .

Did you say school cause I have some sweet things to share with you...

As you know, I was born in 1992. Those years were poor but still sweet and simple for us.

Even school life was so simple for us in Greece. When I was in primary school, school, bags and even notebooks were like this:

Yep, that's how my life was in primary school. I wrote in those blue notebooks and we had fewer books back then.

And teachers back then were so friendly and they helped us with our problems.

Also, my favorite lesson was 'We and the world'. The easiest lesson ever and except from learning many cool things about human body , about animals, flowers etc and we learned and cool things about traditions of every country, what people celebrate in every country etc. With few words, in that lesson, we learned alot about humanity.

Also, I remember our first traditional games like chase, apples, hide and seek etc. Back then , we didn't have phones and we learned the real teamwork.

And I still remember our first exercises in paper A4. And we wrote the answers in them with pencils only.

And those trips with the school to the next towns and to the nature. We really loved to explore nature back then.

With few words, life was simple in school back then Elsa and I have those sweet memories that I will never forget.

@Elsa Great story ! Love it and school days brought back some memories, thank you for that ! Keep writing these stories they are a great to read and an escape from what is going on here in The United States of America I live in West Virginia, we have one of the lowest case's of COVID-19, but my son will be attending school 2 day's a week and doing online classes 3 day's also, after last years or this past school calendar year with doing 2 week packets, and and finishing 2019-2020 it's going to be good I believe for him to be back around his classmates and friends. I remember how important it was for me to have my friends in school, just wish this Pandemic would just pass by, now we have another threatening factor that's is going to play a role in the upcoming year it's also the Flu Season, along with dealing with COVID- 19. Some Teacher's in some States are having what they are calling "A MASK WALK OUT " Thank "GOD" It's not going to happen here ! My memories of school we're great loved every year my most memorable ones are my favorite teacher Mrs. Brown 2nd grade, hating Science and then Graduating College and becoming a R.P.A.. Registered Physician Assistant, hating Science and then working as Dr. Under a MD was something I never thought I would have become, and in High School I was the School Mascot, EBHS Pioneers, I dresses as a Pioneer coonskin hat and a musket and rawhide jacket with fringed's looked like I Davey Crockett ! Math, Algebra, Triganomic's and Geography, History, and Civics and learning about all 55 counties in my State, and all The States in America these where all my favorite subjects in school and I like English too wasn't all that good, I did however maintain a A- average in it. I have had to take an early leave from work, my Dr. found out that my nerves in my neck C1,C3, C4, are all wrapped around each other, and if they try to do surgery there's an 80% chance they will paralyze me from my neck down to my feet so surgery is out and now I am considered disabled from my experience job ! I am thinking about a career change, I hate sitting at home ! I want to work in something to do with graphic designing, I love how we have become fascinated with games, and challenging games, and everything you can put into the game and the designing and creating of characters and stories and features, including the type of game it's self ! That's it. Hope this didn't bore you too much !

Hi @Elsa another great story, I think there was a lot going on in your story that we didn’t learn at school but that may be because I left after my o-levels at 16 years old. I love that you dedicated your story to @Sofia1992 and @candycrushinit. We used to use the dipping pens but at my secondary school ( it was a grammar school when I started there and changed to a secondary modern after a while ) we used the same fountain pens as @Spinnifix. Thanks for the tag @Diamond Lim.

My first experience of school was when I was 3 years old....my brother was 2 years older than me and had recently started infant school ( our system was Infant, Junior and then secondary or grammar ) my mum used to take my brother to school and on this particular day we stopped at her friends house opposite the school so she and her friend could have a coffee and a chat. Well I disappeared and they searched everywhere...under tables, behind doors, in cupboards, anywhere a 3 year old would normally hide! Do you know where they found me? No? Well I was over the road at the school sitting in a class full of children listening to the teacher telling a story! The teacher hadn’t even thought to raise the alarm when I turned up looking for my brother!

    Another great story @Elsa 👍

A lot say school days are the best days of your life. Me I dont think so although I achieved well at school I still was happier when I left. The Ink wells in your desk and the dipping your pen it seems a distant memory. I wonder how today's students would get on with them 🤔

    Dear Elsa!

I reported more from my city. Our city is also called "The City of Modernity" and now it is named Capital of Culture. In Germany we are the Budesland of Saxony. There is the so-called "Saxony triangle". The capital of the state of Saxony is Dresden. Then comes Leipzig and we are the smallest city out of it - Chemnitz. You can also google it if you want to know more. It may be translated into your language.

    😊

Hey! Would you like to give us your opinion?
