I looked up information on holidays and important dates in the UN calendar. That's what I saw there.
September 30 is International Translation Day. This is the day of a professional translator (interpreter or writer). It's not about us. We are not translators.
But in the UN calendar there is an International Mother Language Day - International Mother Language Day. It is celebrated on February 21st. This feast is, in fact, what is offered here in the Community. It's not translator's day. This is mother tongue day. I think this day is more suitable for this idea.

I didn't vote in the poll because I'm ambivalent about this idea.
On the one hand, I think that this will not be implemented because it is not interesting for moderators and CMs (because it will be difficult for them to control this process).
On the other hand, I would be interested to see this event and maybe participate in it.
This idea has the same chance of becoming a very failed or very cool and interesting.
I wish good luck to everyone who is interested in implementing this idea. This topic is very interesting.
