    @firebombmarkus - that is great!Β  Looks like everyone had lots of fun! I went to China on vacation quite a few years ago and was lucky enough to see the pits where excavation of the army was ongoing.Β  No electronic photos (no electronic phones at the time), but somewhere I have a few still photos I took surreptitiously (you weren't supposed to take photos because they wanted you to buy their photos/cards in their store). It was amazing.Β  The soldiers looked like they were trying to break free of the dirt they were buried in. Living there - you must have definitely had the opportunity to really get to know the people and their culture, unlike what I experienced as a pure tourist.

    @bearwithme It was quite a rollercoaster but yes, I learned the "good" and the "bad" sides of their culture. I quote because good is not necessary good and bad is not necessary bad.

    To be honest, I am not a fan of army and soldiers but I am happy that you enjoyed the moment 😊

    Hi fbm!

    I am not Chinese but I like drinking my coffee hot. It wakes my system up especially in the morning!Β

    The Chinese always drink hot tea as far as I know!Β

    @firebombmarkus

    I worked in a Bank Main Office owned by wealthy Chinese owners for 12 years. I had direct contact with them every day. There are things that they do that I won't, like eating turtles for longevity. In my 12 years there, I've never seen them just drink plain hot water. It was always tea.Β Β

    I've been to Hongkong and not really observed this while I was there. If you observed this in China, it is a possibility that people has gotten used to drinking hot plain water because of pollution there.Β

Hey! Would you like to give us your opinion?
