Rancid is shopping for a Valentine’s Day present

Rancid tells Tiffi that the salesperson has some of the rings in stock. He also showed Rancid a locket where he could put a picture of himself inside. Tiffi looks at the broken heart necklaces. One has “best” on it and the other has “friends”. So, they could each wear half of the broken heart on a chain. That’s not too bad of an idea.

 “Let’s think about this more,” Tiffi says. “How many times have you gone out with Rachel since you two met? I know that both of you came to the Community 1-year party and both of you popped out of the cake. Then for thanksgiving you couldn’t get together with us because the two of you were going away for the weekend. Have you seen her more than those couple of times?”

Rancid stops to think of how many times he has been with her.

 “Yes, I was with her both of those times,” Rancid says. “I’ve gone with her a couple of times when she helped the players with the game. That is cool that she has those powers and can throw those candies on the board. Let’s see …….. did I spend more time with her? No Tiffi, I think those are the only days that I’ve spent with her.”

 The salesperson is now back to help Rancid. He shows Rancid all the rings that he might be interested in. 

Tiffi tells Rancid to choose between the ring or the locket because she feels that even the broken heart “best friends” might make Rachel back up a bit. She might not be ready to admit that they can be best friends.

 Rancid decides to buy her a ring. He thanks Tiffi for her help and takes out his credit card to pay for the ring. Tiffi gives Rancid a quick hug and then says that she needs to buy her Valentine’s Day cards for her friends and some food for the house. He really appreciates the time Tiffi spent trying to help him find the perfect gift for Rachel.
