Rancid flies home

Bright and early the next morning they both wake up, eat breakfast and then it’s time to take Rancid to the airport. Before leaving her at the gate he thanks her again for everything.

“Please tell your aunt that I said hi,” Rancid says. “I will let you know what my love says when I give her the ring. I want to plan something romantic because she deserves it. Hey, I have a suggestion for you. In the last few months some of the characters have been getting together. Tiffi always plans something for the holidays and she invites her friends to join in. I was able to attend the first-year anniversary of the King Community with Rachel. We were part of the surprise for the community managers when we both popped out of the cake. Tiffi invited us for a couple of other holidays but Rachel and I had made previous arrangements to go away so we couldn’t attend. How about I let you know when Tiffi has a get-together again and if you are going to be in the area then I’d love to have you join us.”

Rancid boards the plane and Lucy heads back home. The flight is quite a few hours long and he is holding the ring box in his hand. He keeps opening the box to look at the ring and he hopes that she accepts his proposal. What if she says no?  He has been working real hard to get rid of his bad habits and he thinks that he has succeeded so far. What if it’s not enough for Rachel.

 “That’s it,” he thinks to himself. “I will have to stop and Rachel’s house on the way home. I will talk myself out of asking her so maybe I just need the courage to head on over to ask her now.”
