A half hour later Rancid shows up at the store and the salesperson greets him at the door.
“Welcome Rancid,” he says. “I didn’t expect to see you so soon. You just bought her a friendship ring for Valentine’s Day. How did she like it?”
Rancid tells him that she was thrilled with it and that was the best gift to show her how much he loves her. But now he wants to commit to a long-term relationship so he needs some advice on buying her a diamond ring. He shows Rancid 4 rings that he picked out that would be perfect for her.
Then he hits Rancid with the costs and Rancid almost passes out from shock. His mouth drops wide open.
“How much did you say these cost?” questions Rancid. “I want the best for her but I don’t think I could afford those prices right now. What about explaining to me what the 4Cs for diamonds mean.”
Rancid is more confused than ever. He saw some high prices on Google but thinking they were high end jewelry stores and that was the reason for those high prices. And yet this salesperson is quoting some high prices too. Rancid is just a working racoon and he doesn’t make a lot of money so he will have to find a way to pay those high prices. Nothing but the best for his bride-to-be.
