Bright and early the next morning the girls are up and dressed. They head on downstairs to the restaurant for breakfast. The girls decide that today is beach day! Tiffi searches on Google to see what beach is close by.

‘Barceloneta Beach is one of the most popular and oldest beaches in the city. It is more than 1 km long and is one of the biggest beaches in Barcelona. The beach is close to the port and not too far from the city centre, so it can be easily reached by public transport. Due to this, the beach is highly popular among tourists and in summer, it gets really crowded. Regardless of whether it’s day or night Barceloneta is a buzzing hot spot at all hours. The beach it kitted out with different kinds of sport equipment’s, such as Volleyball courts, Soccer table areas on the Eastern side of the beach, a Ping-Pong table, a gym area and children’s playground area on the Western side. Not to mention, the Beach Centre is located here. The centre provides all necessary information about beaches in Barcelona. Moreover, it organises various activities all year around. Additionally, you can find the Beach Library service there as well. Bus: 14, 16, 17, 36, 39, 40, 45, 51, 57, 59, 64  (Info here)

That’s the beach that they are going to! They can take the bus to get to the beach. They go back upstairs to get their bathing suits and a change of clothes so that they can do something in the area if they get tired of the beach or it gets too crowded.

“Hurry up girls!,” Tiffi says. Look at how crowded it is already. The sand is a little hot so be careful.”

As the beach fills up with more and more people, the girls decide that it’s enough! They’ve been here over 3 hours so they decide to pack it up and go shopping! Time to spend their money!

“Let’s get changed and go shopping,” Jenny says.

Rachel remembers reading something about Shopping Lines & Fashion Hotspots in Barcelona.

‘Everybody knows the most visited place with plenty of famous brands, restaurants with Spanish food and small souvenir shops. We can mention Plaza Espanya or Plaza Catalunya, where every desire of the tourists can be fulfilled. For people who look for shopping centers, head down to Les Glòries roundabout for Centre de Les Glòries, the largest in the city, popular with Barcelonians who appreciate the wide range of goods and affordable prices. (Info here)

As Rachel waits for the girls to get ready she clicks on the Centre de Les Glòries link to read more about it.

Let’s continue to the next part of the story - Let’s shop till we drop!
