Time moves quickly in the Candy Kingdom and today is the competition show. Tiffi, Kimmy, Jenny and Yeti make plans to meet at the studio an hour before they are told to arrive. As confident as they all feel about this show, there is still a bit of anxiety not knowing what to expect.
“Hi guys, are you ready to win?” asks Tiffi. “Jenny where is your uncle?”
Jenny tells Tiffi that Yeti got a bad case of stage fright and had to run to the bathroom. Tiffi asks Jenny and Kimmy if they brought their own knives and both say that they left it on the table when they first walked in.
The producer of the show comes over to greet them. He tells them to have a seat on the other side of the room and someone will be over shortly to do their stage makeup. Yeti comes back into the room and joins them.
As they are getting their make up on the host of the show comes over to introduce himself and give them a few ideas of what comes next.
“That’s great that you all remembered to bring your knife set,” says the host. “I want all of you to know that there's a standby chef here with the four of you. She will not be going on the show but will act as an understudy in case one of you has to back out of the show for some reason.”
Tiffi looks over to see that another character has joined in. She waves hi to her. The host continues explaining things.
“Once your makeup is finished and your hair is touched up you will be guided towards the stage,” says the host. “Take your place behind one of the tables and put your chef hat on. You will be looking into the camera every so often as you prepare your meal. It will be the camera that is set up in the center over there. The food pantry is over to your right and once I announce that you can begin, please feel free to head on over there to get all your protein and veggies. There are four rounds and each time you will be told what protein to prepare for that meal. There are no eliminations in this competition which means that you will all be preparing four different meals. The judges will be tasting all your food and offering you feedback. At the end of the competition whoever was praised the most often will become the winner and will be given the cash award. Now remember to smile!”
