“I hope that I didn’t bore you with all of these explanations,” Kim says. “I wanted you to get a better understanding of the different types of fairies. Let’s go into the forest so that you can get a better understanding of what’s happening.”
OMG!
As they approach the fairies Tiffi gets very upset and starts to cry.
“Why are they all dying?” Tiffi asks.
Kim is not sure what’s going on. Tiffi takes out her phone and guess what she does next?
You’re right! She heads on over to Google to see if they give reasons why fairies die.
‘Unfortunately, yes, Fairies can and do die. One common cause is when someone refuses to believe in fairies. Then, a fairy dies. The more common name for the death of a fairy is 'light gone out.' Because, when a fairy dies, its light goes out.’ (Info here)
That sounds like it just came out of the Peter Pan movie. Hmmmm……….
Tiffi continues to search for an answer and she finds an article that mentions some weaknesses that fairies have.
• Cream – Was shown to make Elfs drunk.
• Iron – Can harm them.
• Microwaves – Microwaving a smaller fairy was shown to kill it.
• Poppy seed extract – Was shown to stun the Wicked Witch of the West.
• Ruby slippers – Being imbued with magic from Oz, the ruby slippers were capable of killing the Wicked Witch.
• Salt & sugar – By pouring salt or sugar on the floor in front of a fairy, no matter how strong they are, must get down and count each grain until done.
• Silver – Burns "dark" fairies.
• Spells – Fairies can be bound to a person's service, destroying the book of magic that summoned them can free the fairy. Reciting an incantation from the spell book that summoned the fairy folk can also banish them back to their realm. (Info here)
Tiffi and Kim go over the list together. They click on the Iron link to see what else they have to say about it.
‘Iron used to repel spirits - In theory, if ghosts do exist and they do use electromagnetic energy to manifest, then hypothetically one could use a conductor of electricity, such as iron to drain or ground out the energy from the spirit. Therefore, touching a grounded, iron object to the spirit itself would drain all usable energy from that spirit. Based on this theory, many cemeteries are enclosed by iron fencing to keep the spirits in. Also, it has been said than an iron horseshoe placed at your front door will bring good luck by keeping evil spirits out.’ (Info here)
Let’s continue here – Tiffi reads about fairy’s weaknesses
Start at the beginning – Do you believe in fairies?
