‘Fire fairies can be more difficult to encounter than other elementals, but you can encourage a connection through playfulness, creativity, and passion. Fire is dynamic, hot, creative, and destructive, and caution should be taken as these energies can easily get out of control. Keep a cooling crystal or dish of water nearby if you feel yourself getting too hot. However, fire spirits can help up rekindle our passion and sexuality, warm our hearts, invigorate our senses, and brings us ‘flashes of genius.’ They can also encourage us to face our inner demons and challenge ourselves.
Fire spirits are protectors of the hearth and home, volcanoes, deserts, red rocks, the sun, stars, meteors, and any source of fire. They are made by balls of energy and grow in size and power with the flames of fire. Some of them ride on sunbeams and absorb solar energy. Fire spirits can be fierce, volatile, and unpredictable, while inspiring passion and creativity. They might be found surrounding giant bonfires, near the single flame of a candle, or may appear as fireflies in the night sky.
They resonate with the colours red, gold, and orange. If creating an altar or giving offerings, fire spirits enjoy candles, sunflowers, beeswax, ash, faery lights, oranges, and sun-catchers.
Fire fairies prefer herbs and oils of allspice, basil, clove, cinnamon, dragon’s blood, frankincense, marigold, nutmeg, and cedar wood. They love crystals and stones, such as amber, garnet, bloodstone, carnelian, dragon stone, lava, hematite, obsidian, and ruby.
They inspire powers of:
-courage, confidence, and leadership
-overcoming obstacles
-transformation and burning away outdated patterns
-igniting your inner flame and passions
-defending others
-imagination, clairvoyance, and prophecy
-determination, fulfilling ambitions, and power
-energy and vitality
-fame and career advancement
To connect with fire beings, explore and express your strong feelings, light candles, sit by an open hearth, enjoy a bonfire, scry into a flame, visit deserts, volcanoes, shimmering sand, and red rock, soak up sunlight, or connect with the stars.
