Yeti can’t believe it

Yeti is walking towards Tiffi when he hears her talking to someone. He looks around but there is no one near her except for a bunch of pumpkins piled together. 

“Tiffi are you alright?” says Yeti. “Who are you talking to?”

Now he is standing next to the pile of pumpkins. She points to the pumpkin with the face and the green vine-like arms.  

“Oh, you brought a friend along I see,” says the pumpkin. “I was brought to life by a blue fairy, who told me that I can become a real pumpkin if I can prove to be brave, truthful, and unselfish. So here I am! Brave, truthful and unselfish!” 

Tiffi and Yeti look at each other wondering if this is for real. Yeti rubs his eyes in disbelief but Tiffi believes the story because she has seen many a strange thing. Yeti chooses a nice size pumpkin and Tiffi chooses a smaller size. 

“Hey, what about me?” the pumpkin asks. “Can’t you pick me? I promise that I won’t get in your way. You might even begin to like me. Say, what do you guys do during the day?” 

He follows them to the cash register to pay for their pumpkins. The pumpkin whispers in Tiffi’s ear that she doesn’t have to pay for him because no one can see him except for the two of them.
