Why did we lose these beliefs?

Elsa is pleased that the first of the two-fold problem is now resolved in her mind. There is nothing wrong with children believing in these fantasy characters. Now it’s time to deal with the second part of the problem.

“Hey guys, I need to share with all of you my thoughts and heartbreak on all of this,” says Elsa.

“Not too long ago, I read what a storyteller had to say about children outgrowing these wonderful fantasies. He said the gap between innocence and experience is endlessly explored. He asked the readers if they felt they were in exile ever since childhood – not as a result of some traumatic experience, but the simple, slow dimmer switch of time passing and imagination coarsening.”

“It got me thinking about the days when I looked forward to Santa Claus, the tooth fairy and the Easter bunny? Then along came the elf on a shelf and it became another magical belief. It was also very cool to believe in leprechauns, angels, and fairies But now I’m all grown up and those fantasy beliefs are gone. Why can’t we keep those fantasies throughout life? Why do we lose them?”

None of them have any idea on why adults lose this magic but they all agree that it really is important for adults to have it. After all, with everything that goes on in an adult’s life like paying bills, buying food, paying for medical expenses, etc. they really do need some magic in their heart.

The day is coming to an end. Tiffi needs to go home because her father will be closing his store soon. Santa Claus needs to go back to the North Pole. He doesn’t trust those little elves when he’s not there to keep an eye on them. The rest of them need to find their way home too. Before they all leave, Elsa promises to find out what can be done to help adults get their magic back. Tiffi tells Elsa to call her if she needs help with anything.

Goodbyes all around.

Let’s continue - Fantasy play is very important
