Tiffi finishes walking down the first aisle but nothing has caught her interest.  Now she turns the corner at the end of aisle one and begins to walk down the second aisle. She has no idea what type of book to read. She remembers Elsa telling her about all her psychology classes so maybe she needs to leave the fiction aisle and head on over to the non-fiction aisle. As she passes by the children’s corner she hears another nursery rhyme.

Hickory, dickory, dock,

The mouse ran up the clock.

The clock struck one,

The mouse ran down!

Hickory, dickory, dock.

She has to check this out!

Who could be reciting Mother Goose nursery rhymes to the children?

Her mouth drops wide open when she sees this old looking elf sitting on a book and he’s reciting nursery rhymes to some children.  He sees Tiffi and waves for her to come over. He encourages her to sit down near him.

“Do you boys and girls want to hear another nursery rhyme?” asks the elf. “Ok, if you know this nursery rhyme you can sing along with me.”

The itsy-bitsy spider climbed up the waterspout.

Down came the rain

and washed the spider out.

Out came the sun

and dried up all the rain

and the itsy-bitsy spider climbed up the spout again.

Tiffi remembers that nursery rhyme. As the elf sings it, the children sing along and move their fingers as though they were climbing up the spout.

A couple of the mothers approach the children’s corner just as he is finishing this last nursery rhyme. He is quite pleased to see that the children were able to sing and move their little fingers up the waterspout.
