Why cant my friends send help and vice versa

If you friends are in you candy crush jelly game any of them that play Candy Crush Friends should appear in your Friends game
Check you device and game are up to date and log out and restart your device and log back in and see if this resolves your issue.
There is also a facebook avatar/lives issue at present so this may be your issue. Unfortunately we are awaiting a fix for this at present.
For more friends follow @Spinnifix post to join Facebook groups as there are always people there willing to become friends to be able to exchange lives

You can check your connection to Facebook, disconnect it once and reconnect. Also check your game for updates

I am so frustrated! I only have one friend and it is rare I get a life. I don't understand why I am playing against people I don't know but they are not added to my friend's list like on Candy Crush Jelly, so I can collect lives. This really upsetting and unfair! There is no way I can compete to win boosters! I cannot afford to buy boosters so I have an unfair disadvantage! If I am playing with people I don't know I want them added to my friend's list, please.

You can add friends. If you are in FB this is:
Facebook -> Create a Facebook account -> Search for "Candy Soda Group" where active players usually post comments -> Submit a request to join the group -> Post if you are allowed to join the group Leave a comment on "add yourself as a friend". You will receive a lot of friend requests, just accept them and have friends who send you lives.

I took 2 pictures for you especially. It's easy. Groups of players come to you in your game and at the top is the symbol with the 2 people. The symbol for friends. You can let them inquire about and enter an email address of your friends yourself and then he will be with you in your group. So you can send your life back and forth. I hope this makes sense to you! This only applies to the PC.

In Candy Friends there are general problems getting friends' lives and the team is aware of this. I just want to add that. As a little help!

These is a known on going issue with Facebook and candy crush friends, here's a link that you can read up on the issues. I'm sorry but there is no fix at the moment.
