Today is the first art class

Bright and early on Friday morning they all gather together in the King community where Olivia has reserved a room. 

Kimmy and Rachel are so excited but Red Rabbit and Chewy are a bit nervous. They have no idea what is expected of them.  

“Chewy, why do you look so stressed out?” asks Tiffi. “Olivia will teach us all about the colors and how to use them. I’m sure you can do your own picture.” 

Chewy loves his buddy Tiffi. He throws her a kiss. 

“Ok, now that I have you all gathered here I just want to explain a few things to you,” says Olivia.  “On the tables behind you are the brushes and palettes.  I’ve ordered the paint jars and they should be here when we meet again. I’d like to start off with sharing the color wheel and the various colors.”

Olivia begins to explain that there are 12 main colors on the color wheel. In the RGB color wheel, these hues are red, orange, yellow, chartreuse green, green, spring green, cyan, azure, blue, violet, magenta and rose.  The color wheel can be divided into primary, secondary and tertiary colors.  She hands them each a handout that they can take home with them.  

“I printed out some information for you about the primary and secondary colors,” says Olivia.
