Why are the children disappearing?

The two of them walk into the store. Rancid’s mouth drops wide open. He has never seen so much candy before.

OMG! 

Rachel goes over to the wall to check out the candy in those cylinders. Rancid is about ready to grab a handful of candy but how is he going to carry it all in one hand. He looks around for a cart or some plastic bag to put it in. As he goes in search of something he sees children heading to the back of the store. The door is wide open but when they step inside they disappear. What’s going on? 

He grabs hold of Rachel’s hand and as they walk towards the back of the store he tries to figure out where those kids might have gone. He notices more children heading towards that door and once they take a step inside – boom! Gone! Curiosity has now taken over. 

“Rachel love, do you see what I am seeing?” asks Rancid. “Look at those kids all heading towards that door in the back of the store. Did you just see what happened to that boy and girl? They took a step and then disappeared. We have to get closer to find out what’s going on.

“Wow Rachel, look at what’s behind that door,” exclaims Rancid. “It looks like a place filled with candy. Let’s check it out.” 

They both take a step forward and poof! They are no longer in the store! Where did they go?
