She goes over the list that she highlighted: fly a kite, Build a mud kitchen, catch a lightning bug, look for shapes in the clouds, make s’mores, have a bonfire, and learn about the history and significance of totem poles.
Wow, they didn’t say anything about yo-yos. But the last story that Elsa wrote, Tiffi and her friends learned how to use a yo-yo. Red Rabbit was a whiz at doing tricks. Poor Odus got hit in the head and got a slight concussion. Plant a garden? Tiffi is not sure if she could be a good gardener so she puts that on hold for now. Have a picnic – Tiffi remembers when Jenny rescued her uncle from Jelly Queen’s trap. Poor Yeti was so jellified and he thought he’d be stuck in there forever. No way was Jenny going to let that happen! She was able to free him and bring him home – Let’s bring Yeti home! So Tiffi forgets the idea of having another picnic.
Next on the list is flying a kite.
Tiffi remembers when her father showed her how to fly a kite. That might be a very good idea for her and her friends to do this summer. She will have to talk to them to see if they are interested.
