Early one morning Odus is helping a player with his game level when he sees a father and a little boy walking towards him.

“Daddy, what is a moon?” asks the little boy.

“It’s a large round circle just like the sun and it shines at night by reflecting light from the sun,” says the father.

“But why?” asks the little boy.

Odus hears them talking so once he finishes helping the player with this level he goes over to introduce himself.

“Hi, my name is Odus and I hope that you don’t mind me introducing myself to both of you,” says Odus. “I heard your son asking you questions about the moon and since I do know a bit about it from googling I thought you might want me to share some of these facts with him.”

The father looks over at Odus and is pleasantly surprised to see an owl and one that speaks too! He introduces himself to Odus.

“Hi, my name is Ron and my son’s name is Timmy,” says the father. “I know that he’s just going through a phase of asking the why question but after hearing him ask the why over and over again I don’t know how much more I can take.”

Odus explains to Ron that 3-year-olds are just curious and eager to learn, and more so if the child turns out to be a gifted child.

“Parents of gifted children know that these kids love asking loads of questions” says Odus. “They are incredibly curious and can't seem to get enough information. Would you mind if I shared with both of you what I know about the moon? Hopefully, what I have to share with Timmy will satisfy his curiosity.”
