Olivia is excited and can’t wait to tell Tiffi about her adventure

Bright and early the next morning Tiffi can’t wait for Olivia to call so she calls her. Well she thought that she called her but she did Facetime instead.

“Olivia I am so sorry that we didn’t have a chance to talk last night,” says Tiffi. “You sounded so excited about your day but I couldn’t keep my eyes open.”

Olivia tells Tiffi that it’s ok and then shares with her how she was just about to go into Mr. Toffee’s store to buy some candy when a mother and little boy were outside talking. He kept asking her these why questions. She took him by the hand and they went into the store. 

“I felt so bad for the mother because the little boy was curious and he was eager to learn,” says Olivia.   “Just as I was about to walk into your father’s store the two of them walked out. He continued asking why questions and I could see how frustrated the mother was. She really needed a break so I went over and introduced myself and suggested that perhaps I can help answer some why questions for her. She was so thankful that I offered to help. 

He really wanted to know why the sky was blue and then he started asking about rainbows. I found a video for both of them to watch and the little boy was so happy learning all about rainbows. But then the best thing happened. There was a homeless man fast asleep on a bench. He started asking why the man was sleeping so I explained to him that he might be homeless and gave a couple of reasons why. He felt so sad for the man who had no home. He asked his mother if he could give the man the rest of his candy because he didn’t want him to be hungry when he woke up. Isn’t it amazing how a child that young could be so compassionate about someone who is struggling.”

Tiffi sat in silence the entire time that Olivia shared her adventure. 

“Olivia, I can’t believe how many of you had such similar experiences and all in the same day,” Tiffi says. “First it was Yeti, and then it was Rachel and Rancid. Then Misty called and told me that she also experienced a parent and child. Then I heard from Odus and now you! What’s going on out there?”

Olivia has no idea. Olivia’s phone beeps and she’s getting a text message to go help a player so she promises Tiffi that she’ll get back to her later in the day.
