During the Dark Ages, there was a period when science took a back seat to irrational forebodings. Collectors, known as animal hunters, were listing the biological characteristics and medical use of the animal community, which also included unicorns at that time. It was in these collections for the first time that it was described that young women have great power over creatures.

Long live Being a woman 😄❤🤍

Hi @MountainMom! Nice contest! Love the badge by @Lola_Pop!

    Some facts about unicorns:

    1) A misconception about unicorns is that they’re nice and friendly beasts who only do good things for people, but in medieval times, it was said that if you were bitten by a unicorn you’d die instantly!

    2) Unicorns are viewed as symbols of innocence and purity because their horns are thought to have magical powers, but they’re actually quite savage animals who are aggressive toward humans!

    3) Unicorns once actually existed! A few fossils have been found, and they also appear in cave drawings from ancient times. They became extinct at the end of the last ice age between 9,000 and 10,000 years ago.

    4) Shakespeare once stated that a unicorn is “a most ridiculous extravagance” and a “thing of nought,” which could refer to a myth about unicorns being creatures of fiction or portray them as lonely and yearning for companionship.

    5) The oldest known unicorn fossil is from the Siberian permafrost and it’s over 30,000 years old!

Thanks for the tag @Diamond Lim.

Hello @MountainMom . Thanks for the tag @Diamond Lim .

  • Unicorns are also mentioned in many Asian and European myths.

Unicorns are thought to be good and pure creatures with magical powers.Their horns have powers to heal wounds and sickness and to neutralize poison. Legends say that unicorns are difficult to catch.

Unicorns love eating rainbows. When two unicorn families meet, they travel happily together for weeks. The Unicorn’s eyes are Sky Blue or Purple.

Legend has it that the Unicorn was such a pure animal that only people with a pure and pure soul could ride it. It is for this reason that the unicorn was often depicted ridden by a virgin, a magician or an elf.
