Hello Jellies,
So many emotions and feelings in this little Community of ours.💛🧡💔 Candy Crush Jelly is part of our lives, and the Community is the place to share this love for the game, and find, in a way, a second family, an "Ohana" as @Lady_Sarina says, that's formed by so many different people with different backgrounds, lives, problems, blessings, ages, cultures and personalities. That's incredible, right?
So the Jelly Knight is supposed to be a fun thing to do, but it's also become a way to be recognized as part of this Ohana- I understand (maybe I didn't get it 100% in the beginning). That it's something that can be great when you are knighted, but hurtful when you're not.
When I was a child, I didn't like that feeling when we were all standing in line and the soccer captains chose one for one who would play in their teams (I think this system is still quite usual despite where you come from?). The Round Table is not supposed to be the same. It's not a popularity contest, and there's nobody left to be the last kid in line. In other words, it's not about being "chosen" first or second; it's about having fun in the forum, doing your thing, and waiting for your moment- which will arrive sooner or later as a consequence. The nominations, the title, the Round Table, all this is a recognition for the chosen knight, a moment to stop and reflect on what this person is bringing into the Community and thank him or her for it.
If you're not knighted this month, it doesn't mean you're "less Jelly" than anyone else, or that you deserve less recognition. You could perfectly join the Table next month or in two- that should not matter at all. Each Jelly brings new flavors to the forum, so there's not one recipe for a perfect Knight. Yes, the nominations count a lot, and there are other factors, as you all know by now (helpfulness, overall attitude, contributions, etc). So if we don't give the award to the Jelly that has most votes in a month, that doesn't mean we vote "against" him or her; it means we think another Jelly deserves the recognition in that moment, for x reasons. In addition, as some of you say, reading the sweet nominations from your fellow players is a recognition itself.
I really think having the chance to praise the Community Spirit of our fellow members is something worth doing, and I hope we can all find the system that feels fair and right for everyone- because I keep reading these comments and I see that we're all in the same boat when it comes to the Community; we want to have fun and help each other and enjoy the game and share that joy.
Hi @Lady_Sarina and @Nikolaos_Prodromidis on my search for Allen I found this thread, I had totally forgot about the Jelly Knights. I see it hasn't been active for several months. Please may I ask if this all finished now?
