The recent decision by King to change and disable the previous options for the build a bot function is truly frustrating. At the higher levels, where there is greater difficulty, the ability to advance without being able to do this means you lose lives rapidly, impede progress and/or have to purchase boosters.
Prior to this troubling decision, I purchased boosters and knew that if I hit a particularly difficult level, I could also use the build a bot function to progress.
Since this new rule has been instituted, I have used all my purchased boosters and gone through 500+ gold bars... and I've cleared maybe 20 levels.
I have worked very hard and used purchased boosters, but I will not be doing that going forward. It's very sad and frustrating to me - and I see to others as well. In the year since I found Candy Crush Saga, I am at level 4899. This was my go-to stress reliever, but I am walking away.
Super bummed.

I think I’m on day four of no candy crush after playing for years. I feel your pain.
