Most times I log in to play on Facebook, I get a screen come up asking me to accept the 'new' terms and conditions, followed by an introduction to how 'friends' work in the game, etc. My lives have been wiped out, and it treats me as if each aspect of the game is new and needs an introduction. I've not done anything at all to the computer - sometimes it's just re-opening my machine after having left it idling for half an hour. Please can any admins make sense of this, and has anyone else had the same thing?

Are you playing on the browser version?
Looks like this is a relatively new bug. See here for reference:

You should report the issue to Support, as forum admins aren't really taking it seriously.
In case you don't open the threads I listed, I'll set it again - you should try the standalone Windows desktop version to see if your lives keep resetting.

do you play the game on app downloaded from Microsoft store? or do you play it on Facebook platform on a browser (Mozilla firefox, chrome, edge)?
Is your computer a Window 10 or 11 device?
Do you lose your boosters each time you log out and beside lives?
I have the same problem you describe in King game app downloaded from Microsoft store in my W11 laptop. though it's not happening in Candy Crush Saga like your case (I assume) but Candy Crush Soda Saga and I use a King account and not Facebook account. But I also lose boosters and reinstalling the app hasn't been helpful so far. I've reported it but I'm checking if this is affecting other people as well which would help the investigation

Thanks, guys. I use Windows 10 on the Facebook platform.
It used to happen every few weeks, then more regularly, now it's most times I go on to the game. The other elements (gold bars, boosters) remain the same, it's just the lives that are wiped out.

Nonetheless, I'll consult with candy moderators and community manager in charge of this game regarding this issue, to understand better the situation 🙂
Sorry to hear this is happening @David_H, there must be a bug or glitch with the browser.
Have you tried clearing the cache you are currently using? Can you also test an other browser and see if the same thing happens.
We would also recommend playing the game app installed from Windows Store as you might have a much better experience then playing from a browser.
Just remember to sync the game to your Facebook account so your progress can sync 😉
