Not sure what you mean by Privacy feature @Carol-38. Is there a way to opt out? I must agree that I wouldn't want my photo to be randomly posted in people's game all over the world. I suppose that's why I use flower photos.
@christinewupp the privacy feature is the information that appears in the Features part of your Settings. You can choose to not show how many levels you have played, or how many lives you have sent.
@christinewupp I think the player cards are a promising feature, so I hope they'll roll it out to everyone soon.
Each to their own I guess, but based on what I can see this isn't a promising feature. It seems more than obvious to me that the main aim of the Player Card is to limit the number of lives we can send. The other week I sent you 25 lives in no time at all. I can't do that now as to send you more than one life I have to close and reopen my game. Not only that, but sending lives now takes a little bit longer because when you select a player to send a life to their profile has to load first.
I dislike it. Happy for my friends to appear. My only friend near the top with me has disappeared replaced by a heap of strangers, I definitely don't want.
Instead of fooling around with things like this, @QueenB, time would be better spent returning the game to an enjoyable experience and because players at the very top have to continually scroll back to play mid week games, making this task easier. Also if you exit to events, the game defaults to your top level, necessitating scrolling back again. Surely this would be an easy fix.
I was coming 1st but magically somehow I'm third now 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Of course, Features! Thanks for showing me @Alienscar , I had forgotten you'd posted about this change before. It is good that players have this option, though I'm quite happy to share which country I live in. As for the "show last time online" it makes me a little uneasy since I happen to use exactly this feature in a different game as a kind of surveillance tool to reassure me every morning that my elderly mother, who lives in a different country, is fine. So that is kind of spooky to me. In fact, I've decided to turn it off now. Does this leave the space at the top right of my player card just blank? More importantly, does turning off this option have any effect on showing how many levels I've played or how many lives I've sent? I'd be interested to know this. I don't mind those facts showing. They give enough information as to whether a player is active.
Check out my thread about the episode race:
Hi Peter, it really is annoying when it defaults back to the top level. I 'force stop' the app then open again and it's back to where I had last scrolled to, as long as I'd already played that level. I told a friend about this who stupidly tapped the uninstall button. Heard a few words I hadn't heard for a while 🙉🙉
If they're even real people. 🤣
Frankly, this change seems like another King psychological manipulation designed to get players to play after seeing someone "ahead" of them on the map.
If people knew that half the millions of CCS players who used to play had tossed the game aside, would the newbies really want to keep playing?
It's high school logic all over again: people want to be with the popular crowd, the "in" kids, the cool people. Ya dig?
