Why are booster purchases with gold bars not working?

Only seeing "New Events Coming Soon" for MONTHS
I play Farm Hero Saga on Facebook and I joined a team months ago. However, I was never shown any events. All these months, all that I see is "New events coming soon! Come back later to check." Why is this happening? It looks like others have always seen events, but I do not.
