Why am I not getting the lives other players sent to me??

Hi, I had 108 stars when I clicked on my star shower, then when I clicked on Craft it took 40 stars away from my total, but later when I went to use the star shower nothing there. But my total had gone down to 68. So what has gone wrong?

I have won game no. 5087 numerous times and my name Margaret is there as the highest score. But each time I have won it has sent me back there for the last 3 weeks. I was up too level 3545 on bws 2 my phone broke and now I'm back at level 1 how can this be fair 😪I play this game to try and keep my mind active because of health issues now I don't see the point
That's my main complaint. Wish I hadn't uninstalled, but I thought it would fix a problem.
When starting game it asks me to update. I hit the update then it shows the the screen. I hit open it goes right back to my original game. It does not update
